Dodital Dayara Bugyal

Day 01: Delhi Arrival
On arrival at Delhi airport meet our representative and transfer to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 02: Delhi - Haridwar
In the morning take an AC Train for Haridwar at 06:55 hrs. Arrival at Haridwar by 11:25 hrs. On arrival check in to hotel. Evening free to explore the nearby area by your own. Overnight: Hotel.
Day 03: Rishikesh - Barsu (225 kms/7-8 hrs)
In the morning after breakfast drive to Barsu via Uttarkashi. The drive takes you through the picturesque Garhwal Mountains along with the holy Ganges.Overnight stay at guest house/tent.
Day 04: Barsu - Barnala Bugyal (6 kms/3-4 hrs)
Today we will start our trek to Barnala Bugyal. This is the first day of our trek. We
start ascending a trail through pine forests to Barnala Bugyal. The peak, Draupadi ka Danda is seen all along the trail.
Overnight stay at Camp
Day 05: Barnala Bugyal - Dayara Bugyal (6 kms/2.5 hrs)
We trek on a well-laid out trail through the pine forests and get above the tree line onto the alpine meadows of Dayara Bugyal. This beautiful sloping meadow is an attraction for skiers during winter. Overnight stay at Camp
Day 06: Dayara Bugyal - Nimdhar (16 kms/6 hrs)
In the morning after breakfast trek to Nimdhar, a long day! Our route is through Rolling
Meadows and rhododendrons, on one side we can see peaks Kalang and Draupadi ka Danda and on the other deep valley, our campsite which is at a much lower altitude than Dayara Bugyal is situated in a thick forest. Overnight stay at Camp.
Day 07: Nimdhar - Dodital
Nimdhar to Dodital, 16 kms/6hrs, another long day! First 2 hrs we descend through thick
Predominantly bamboo forest to Dodigad (Stream) and start ascending to Sangam Chatti and then a flat walk of about 2 hrs will get us to Dodital.
Overnight stay at Camp.
Day 08: Dodital - Darwa Top (5 kms/ 3 hrs) - Dodital.
Early in the morning trek up to Darwa Top with packed breakfasts. The walk to Darwa
top is 5 kms (2-3 hrs). It is a pass at a height of 4150 mts. The entire walk is an uphill climb. It starts with the climb along the feeder to Dodital breaking into a thick birch forest opening into the high meadows. A perfect setting for Himalayan wild flowers,
Darwa top offers an amphi-theatre view of the Bandarpunch and Swargarohini range of
peaks.
Absorb the breathtaking views and start the downhill walk to reach the campsite for the hot lunch. One can also spend this day sipping tea, catching up with the local tales, walking around the lake sighting birds or just observing the clear waters of the lake with the trout making an occasional appearance. After exploring the Darwa Top trek back to Dodital for dinner and overnight stay at Camp

Day 09: Dodital - Agoda (2250 mts/7380 ft) (17 kms/4-5 hrs)
After breakfast we will trek down till Agoda. It is a 17 Kms Trek, Overnight in camps at
Agoda.Overnight at Camp.
Day 10: Agoda - Uttarkashi (4 kms trek, Drive)
Morning after breakfast Trek down to Sangamchatti 04 Kms Trek, and from Sangamchatti drive down to Uttarkashi. On arrival check in at the hotel. Evening free at
leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 11: Uttarkashi - Ukhimath (217 km / 7-8 hrs)
After breakfast we drive to Ukhimath. On arrival check into Guest House. Ukhimath at 1320 mts from sea level, is the winter seat of Lord Shiva. The worship of Lord Shiva is done here in winter when the temple of Kedarnath remains closed.
Overnight: Guest house
Day 12: Ukhimath - Tungnath (3680 m) - Chopta (8 km)
After breakfast a short drive to Chopta (1 hrs). Begin the trek in the morning on a steep climb of 4km to reach 1000-year old Tungnath temple. A further climb of half a kilometer takes one to almost 4130 m for the most breathtaking view of the high Himalayas from Chandrashila Peak (4130 m). Climb down to Chopta in the afternoon. Evening - we spend at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp.

Day 13: Chopta - Rishikesh (210 km/ 6-7 hrs)
Morning after breakfast drive to rishikesh via Rudrapryag and Devpryag. On arrival check in to hotel.
Overnight: Hotel
Day 14: Rishikesh - Delhi
Evening take an AC Train from Haridwar at 18:13 hrs. Arrival at Delhi by 22:45 hrs. On arrival check into Hotel.
Overnight: Hotel.
Day 15: Delhi sightseeing
Morning tour of Old Delhi, or the walled city served as the capital for many emperors. Travel to Old Delhi takes the visitors to the medieval era. Old world charm is presented by Old Delhi as it constitutes of fascinating tourist destinations such as Jamma Mosque largest mosque in India and Red Fort, both built by Emperor Shah Jahan, Raj Ghat and Shanti van, the cremation sites of Mahatma Gandhi and Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru and drives past Chandni Chowk, one of the most popular shopping hub of Old Delhi.
Later visit New Delhi has been a part of a rich and varied culture. The tour includes visit to Qutub Minar, one of the earliest remains of Imperial Delhi (13th century AD ) Humayun's Tomb-the fine monument believed to be forerunner of Taj Mahal, India Gate, the 42 meter high arch was raised as a memorial to soldiers, drives past Parliament House, President's House and Secretariat Building.
Day 16: Departure Delhi
Morning transfer to international airport to catch the flight to onward destination. |
